West Jordan High - Sweethearts

Brett's pretty sister Robyne, asked me to take pictures of her group going to the Sweethearts dance at West Jordan High School. Of course I said yes. I've never been asked to do that before, so I wanted to try it!

We went to Gardner Village, I love the cute little buildings they have there. It was super cold outside! Let me tell you, these girls KNOW how to pose! It's like they didn't feel the freezing air on their skin!

Robyne and her cute date! He was a tall one, so she got to wear tall shoes!

And here's just a few more fun couples!

Robyne and Collin (*heart eyes*) They are the cutest.

December and January Stories

Here is the randomness that our iphones gather!

An after bath time picture, because a baby wrapped in a towel is among one of the cutest things ever.

She fell asleep like this!

Austin's blessing day was January 3. Almost everyone was there: only 3 people from the Peterson family were missing.

We took Teagan out to play in the first big snow. She wasn't impressed. The outing didn't last long.

After much begging from Brett, he got a season pass to Snowbird. He's loving it!!

Teagan helping daddy with the skis!

Our fridge broke. One Sunday morning, I reached in the freezer to grab the frozen berries, and they were MUSH. :( :( We had to keep everything outside, until the maintenance was able to come fix the fridge.

What? You've seen me where this sweater before? I'm pretty much wearing it every. single. day.

Watching the Lorax daily at our house! This girl can't get enough of it!

Brett being a cute dental student, playing with the little students.

I love this picture. It is obvious that our nights are loooong. I offer to pay my family members to take the kids for just one night. They won't do it. And I don't blame them.

They dressed up in some cute princess dresses that Rae has.

My Instagram shows a lovely video, that helps explain the night we had at Temple Square. We trying to start a family tradition of going to see the lights. It looks like we started 1 year too early...

Teagan loves coloring! This saves me on days that she gets a little restless.

She is also the best shopping companion when she gets to ride in one of these cars!

We went to support Robyne's boyfriend at the Bingham vs. West Jordan game. It was a new experience for Teagan. I think she liked it!

Christmas Events

Oh boy, I'm a little behind!

The timing of little Austin coming couldn't have been more perfect! I was able to have all of the holidays on my maternity leave! And the month of December at work is typically slow, so I didn't feel too guilty not being there.

I tried taking some newborn photos of Austin myself, but those should never be seen by anyone. So I scheduled an appointment at Camera Shy because they did such a good job with Teagan's Easter pictures (here).

Bridger called on Christmas Eve morning! He is loving his mission in Armenia. His happiness is contagious!

We had the Hyatt family Christmas party at my cousin, Shannon's house.

It's not Christmas unless there is a puzzle out!

All of the little kids playing in the cutest little girls room you've ever seen!

Again, we can't show this boy's cute face since he is in Foster Care.

My sweet grandma and grandpa, hate having their picture taken. So I have to take it when they're not looking!

Look closely at that Christmas card. My cousin Kelsey and her boyfriend should win an award of some kind!

After the Hyatt party, it was time for the Sommerville party! Santa even decided to show up...which scared Teagan just a little bit.

It's a little hard to get a nap in when there is so much excitement happening. Around 7pm, Teagan laid down with grandpa to rest.

We slept over at my parents home with the whole family.

With all of the toys that Santa brought Teagan, of course her favorite thing was the binkies!

She also liked playing with her cousin's toys.

After presents, we headed to our traditional IHOP breakfast with the Sommerville and VanWagoner families. (Are you keeping track of how often we switch families? We do this every year!)

Then back to Brett's parents home to open some more presents!

Not picutred: We went back to my parents home, and then back to Brett's parents home that evening.

We are SO LUCKY to have the Sommerville and Peterson families live within a few minutes of each other. It makes celebrating all holidays with both families possible.
