Brett's childhood

I got a HUGE project done this month, which was scanning in all of Brett's pictures that his mom has saved over the years. YAAAY!
Now...the only problem is figuring out exactly when they were taken. Luckily, some of the pictures would say the date, but...most of them didn't.
Anyway, I wanted to share what a cutie my husband was (and still is!). No wonder I adore my own kids so much...they're taking after their super handsome dad!

Dean with dark hair!! I know, I's not always been gray!

Brett and Tara. I don't quite remember the entire story...but for Halloween; Brett was a "butt-face!"

We love Grandpa Dixon!

Welcome to the family Shad!

All I can say is...Brett had no control over where he he had to play for the Beet Diggers at one point. Sickening, I know.

Look at little Van in this picture!

(insert heart eyes emoji here)
5th Grade, this is after his teeth got knocked out, but right before he started many years of complications.

Priesthood men
Grandpa Dixon, 12 year-old Brett, Dean, and Uncle Jeff.

I don't know anything about this vacation, but how fun to go water rafting with Grandpa Burl!

Days with Babysitters - part 3

This is one of my most favorite things to blog. My cute babies spending their days with grandmas, aunts, and cousins. I'm so lucky to have such great family!

Teagan doesn't let me do her hair as often as she used you'll see a lot of these pictures where she looks like an orphan.

My future cheerleader!!

Aunt Abby loves to snapchat me some pictures. I'm so sad...she got a full-time job, so she no longer babysits. Teagan LOVES going over there. Maybe Brett and I will have to start going on some date nights and drop the kids off over there. (Can you believe our last date night was on Valentines day?! That's a different topic though...)

I can't even tell you how much Teagy loves Collin! She gets all giddy and hyper when he's around!

Ozzy fell asleep on Whitney like this!

Oh the face swap! It's so entertaining!

BOTH babies asleep! At the same time! Those are always special miracles.

I'm a little obsessed with this hairdo Abby did. I like to replicate it as often as Teagan will let me!

Austin's first time on the boat!

July 1st, we woke up DARK and early, and headed up to Deer Creek. That will always be my favorite lake to go to. I don't think I'll ever go to Utah Lake again. The bugs are out of control there! ew! And they stay on the boat with you the entire time. Teagan especially would freak out because of the bugs. So that lake is a no-go.

Deer Creek is just so beautiful. I love the mountains that completely surround you. It is a breath of fresh air to be in the middle of nothing but nature!

What a cutie he is. ;)

We brought Brett's friend, Andy, along for the ride.

It was SO SURPRISED how well little Austin did on the boat. I thought he was going to hate it. But then I thought about why he may have loved it: Everyone he loves is right in front of him and holding him, the white noise, and the gentle (sometimes not gentle) rocking of the boat. We brought his car seat on the boat, and he would drift off to sleep in seconds!

Teagan wasn't a huge fan of the cold water. After I was done surfing, I forced her to get in, and on the surf board. She was NOT a huge you can see.

She slowly warmed up to it, and we got a not so natural "cheese" from her.

When we were done, she got out of that water SO FAST! haha!! What a cutie.

We've already gone boating again since this first time, so I'll have to post those pictures once I get them on my hard drive!
I'm so happy that it's summer!

4th of July

Brett asked me the other day, if I could only have one month of the entire year, which would it be? I surprised him by saying July. He thought I was going to say December (because of Christmas). No. Give me the warm weather all year please!

We started our celebrating by wishing my sister a happy 30th birthday! (Isn't she clever, making herself a Rachel Green crown?)

We gathered in the front yard to watch some fireworks!

Monday morning, we hopped on the train that took us right to the West Jordan parade. If you know Brett at all, you know how much he LOVES parades {insert sarcasm voice}. I told him we have children now, so he needs to expect it. Every. Single. Year.
Teagan had to bring Jasmine along for the ride.

Let's take a closer look at that little guy in the back.
He was out before the parade even started. But woke up soon after from the outrageously loud sirens from the firetrucks.

The boys....clearly enjoying the parade.

We saw my sister across the street!

I love that this parade throws out candy. Although most of it is taffy (yuck!), sometimes we'll get lucky and get a tootsie roll!

I'll end this post with a scripture I love:
"Behold, this is a choice land, and whatsoever nation shall possess it shall be free from bondage, and from captivity, and from all other nations under heaven, if they will but serve the God of the land, who is Jesus Christ, who hath been manifested by the things which we have written."
Book of Mormon, Ether 2:12
