Puerto Rico cost breakdown

I love keeping track of everything I spend on vacations. It helps me realize how do-able they really are, as long as you do them right, and use PERKS!

Again, the BEST perk I have right now is the Southwest Companion Pass. Brett will continue to fly for FREE for the entire year of 2017.

I'm hoping that at the end of next year, we can sign him up for the Southwest cards, so that I will be able to fly for free for the next 2 years after that. Especially now that our babies are starting to cost us points...we need all the perks we can get when flying!

I'm really hoping to get approved for the Chase Freedom card soon. But Chase is SO STRICT on their rules these days, they are making it a bit difficult. grrr. But it's a $0 annual fee, and 5% cash back in certain categories. So I would love to have that card be my "lifetime" card.

But I digress...

Below is how much we were able to save on our trip to Puerto Rico! I even added in the amount we spent on food and souvenirs, which I haven't done in the past.
