Nashville

I mentioned in an earlier post that I won a trip to Nashville. The is the SECOND time I have won a trip to Nashville on the radio. Those radio contests never disappoint!

This trip included round trip flights for me and a friend.
5 nights in a hotel.
2 passes to the CMA music festival.
Special tickets to see Darius Rucker, and a meet and greet with him.

After speaking with my trip coordinator person, she told me that we'll be flying on Southwest. PERFECT!!!! This meant that I could take the kids!!! (Austin still flies for free, and Teagan was my free companion with my "Southwest Companion Pass."

We tried our best to work our flights around Brett's school. We didn't arrive at our hotel in Nashville until about 1:30AM. We were tired.
And because I'm a crazy person, and don't like to waste time on vacation, I made the whole family wake up at 4:30am so that we could drive all the way to Dollywood! Yes, we were exhausted. But I must tell you that it was absolutely worth it!

This theme park was so darn cute. I wish we could've gone to the water park they have there as well. They have a rollercoaster called Wild Eagle, and it was SOOO FUN!

The next few days, we spent exploring Nashville and the sights and foods it has to offer. (And really, I didn't take enough pictures of the good food. It's just simply amazing.)

There were concerts at the Nissan Stadium every night, but we decided to only attend one night. This particular night, the artists were:
Trace Adkins
Rascall Flatts
Sam Hunt (my favorite!)
Brett Eldridge
And then we went back to our hotel before the other artists sang. The kids had passed out on our laps!

Broadway Street was closed to cars during the CMA Festival. It was kinda cool to be able to walk in the middle of the street surrounded by the fun shops!

Our last day, we finally got to see Darius Rucker! It was such a fun atmosphere, except for the heat. It was unbelievably hot outside, and inside this lodge. You can see on Teagan's face how much she was enjoying it.

Instead of all of us walking in the scorching heat to the car, we made Brett go get it, while the rest of us rested in the shade.

That night, we drove around Franklin (where the temple is), and we saw the nicest neighborhoods with the prettiest homes.

And finished the night with a yummy dinner at Puckett's!

We LOVE Nashville with all our hearts! The people are so nice and welcoming. We can't wait to go back again someday!
